Common Makes America Black Again

Common made history November 4th, by releasing his 11th studio album Black America Again. Monday, the hip hop icon took the social media to announce the debut of the remix to the title track.

The original “Black America Again” features music legend Stevie Wonder, however the second time around he took a more modern approach calling on fellow rappers Gucci Mane and Pusha T and another Chicago native, singer, BJ The Chicago Kid. Each giving their take on being black in America.

The diversity delivered in the four minute track is just what hip hop needs, today. Taking time to reference several of the black people who have lost their lives to police in recent years, though positive, “Black America Again (Remix)” is a big heavy.
