H.E.R. fans are rejoicing behind the release of her six track Ep I Used to Know Her: The Prelude.
Soulful melodies and relatable lyrics easily describes H.E.R. but her latest release has fans more and more in love as she puts feminism on a pedestal. Opening the EP with “Lost Souls,” H.E.R.’s adaptation of Lauryn Hill’s “Lost Ones” H.E.R. set the bar for female artists at an all time high.
Despite channeling Lauryn Hill, in no way does H.E.R. sit high and look low at the rest of us. The multi talented rising star teamed up with Bryson Tiller to relate to the masses on “Could’ve Been.” As if featuring Bryson Tiller didn’t do enough to put fans in a mood, it’s rumored that “Could’ve Been” it the not so joyous follow up to “Best Part” with Daniel Caesar.
Needless to say H.E.R. did everything except fail to deliver and she did it all in 20 minutes.
