Slitta gave artists 6 weeks of 2020 to put their projects out, before he stopped playing fair. Now, it’s too late. Slitta’s latest Broken Halo has arrived.
Broken Halo is 13 tracks hand chosen by Slitta himself to remind fans that despite the fact that loyalty is currently missing from the culture, it is still very much a necessity. Slitta wastes absolutely no time establishing the theme, Broken Halo opens with the AllDay produced bop “We Bout” featuring 057 Bully.
As Broken Halo progresses, Slitta narrates tales of love and loyalty in creative ways, the way only he could. “Been There” is a product of Slitta in its totality and its motivation at its finest. “Shooters” is an ode to the hitters and “La Familia” is about exactly what the title says.
Slitta put his own talents on front street, rapping, singing, and producing a number of the tracks on Broken Halo. Though he enlisted the help of 057 Bully and a number of producer, Slitta in his own words, “ain’t compromising shit.” The D1CMG powerhouse served as the executive producer for Broken Halo, ensuring fans would see his vision as he prepares for his next release, Trap Angel.
