Fabolous & Trey Songz had a Trappy New Years

Trouble in Detroit isn’t the only thing Trey Songz made headlines for this passed week. Earlier this month the Virginia born crooner made some appearances on Fabolous’s Instagram page while working on music together in California and the result made for a very Trappy New Years.

The six track mixtape made its debut just in time to be the soundtrack for everyone’s New Year’s Eve events. The duo debuted their rendition of some of 2016’s dopest songs including “Bad & Boujee” and “Keys To The Street”.

Trappy New Years complete with a countdown to its release and fireworks on the cover art. Of course the effort was dominated by Fabolous and Trey Songz up and comer Mike Angel lends vocals to “Pick Up The Phone”.

The Remix We’ve Been Wishing For

As if DJ Drama’s “Wishing” wasn’t a big enough hit this summer, today he debuted the remix. Announced on Instagram, DJ Drama knew just what to do to build anticipation for the drop. The artwork appeared on Instagram this morning followed by the release this afternoon.

The original appeared on Drama’s Quality Street Music 2 which hit streets this passed July and featured a solid line up of r’n’b megastar Chris Brown, Inglewood based rapper Skeme and Maryland native LyQuin. This time around the DJ recruited an all-star cast of Fabolous, Trey Songz, Tory Lanez and Jhene Aiko.

Fabolous’ verse may sound familiar to Fab’s fans, as it appeared on his Summertime Shootout 2, which it was released earlier this month. Trey Songz reminded the world that he’s still smooth as silk. Tory Lanez maintains that the new school still has something to offer and Jhene Aiko lends a woman’s touch, that changes the dynamic just a bit.

Summertime isn’t Summertime Without a Shootout

Summertime Shootout 2: The Level Up arrived just in time for the unofficial end of summer. The highly anticipated sequel to Fabolous’s November release, Summertime Shootout, has us feeling like the holidays just aren’t the holidays without a Fabolous mixtape.

The 14 track compilation could also serve as a “who’s who” of the music industry, featuring Rihanna, Tory Lanes, Lil Uzi Vert and Future. The production list is just a stacked with well known names including Mark Henry, AraabMuzik and Sonaro.

In typical Fabolous fashion, he delivered some new music, his version of some of the hottest records on the radio and an iconic cover.
