August Alsina Debuts Like You Love Me

Though he’s been relatively quiet this year, August Alsina has certainly been busy. The New Orleans born singer kicked all of his addictions and today blessed fans with a visual for his brand new single “Like You Love Me.”

A little heavier, but in a great way August Alsina is looking and sounding good for “Like You Love Me.” The visual opens with a scene extremely reminiscent of D’Angelo’s “Untitled (How Does It Feel).” From there things only get steamier with the 25 year old performing laying across a bed. The visual reaches new heights when he’s joined by a scantily clad co- star and they spend the rest of the visual caressing and kissing one another.

Though the visual is simple, it is befitting of the single. “Like You Love Me” may be the most adult song Alsina has released to date. The new sound and new look are perfect.

Currensy’s The Fo20 Massacre

4/20 wouldn’t be 4/20 without a mixtape from Currensy. The highly anticipated The Fo20 Massacre, has been headlining hip hop publications in the days leading up to its release and for good reason.

The New Orleans native’s voice dominates The Fo20 Massacre, only three of the 14 tracks have features.  In typical Currensy fashion, two of the radio’s biggest records “Skateboard P” and “I Think She Like Me” were revamped for this effort.

The Fo20 Massacre is easy listening at his best. As the sun sets and stoners continue to celebrate, this mixtape is certain to be a soundtrack. After all, what’s a smokers’ holiday without music from the self-proclaimed “smoke champ” himself?

Listen to The Fo20 Massacre.

August Alsina-Drugs

Though relatively quiet throughout 2016 August Alsina is kicking off the new year right. The New Orleans born singer debuted his new single “Drugs” on January 6th and premiered the video today.

Probably not the subject matter one would would expect, “Drugs” explores the addictive nature of another person. The visual is eccelctic to say the least. Fully loaded with red lights, weed smoke, pills, swimming muses and tribal make up, “Drugs” was co-directed by the singer.

August Alsina Takes Flight with Jeremih and J.Cole

As if the original wasn’t enough of a radio hit, put August Alsina on it and see what happens.

If you haven’t already heard, last week the r’n’b heart throb took a moment away from recording his highly anticipated sophomore effort to hop a flight with Jeremih and J.Cole to take every r’n’b fan on a wild ride. Alsina added a new first first verse to the smash “Planes” that has every girl in America trying to buy a boarding pass.

The NOLA bred cutie lent his vocals and his own personal spin on inducting a women into the mile high club, in the auto-tune clad verse. Her induction subsequently has her ejected from the flight and the song goes on, but not without a new adoration from #AlsinaNation. In case you’ve been living under a rock, check out the “Planes (Remix)” below:
