Slitta Delivers More Pink for Valentine’s Day

Last night Slitta explained to Power92’s Bree Specific that he made More Pink because he wanted to make “women feel like women again.” After handing out dozens of pink roses at his silent listening party and pouring out his emotions, Slitta may have very well been successful.

Bassline served as the perfect setting for More Pink’s exclusive silent listening party. Hosted by Bree Specific and dj’d by Marie Tha DJ, rose petals covered the floor, a body painter created visuals and Slitta set the vibe. The celebration of the D1CMG artist and 80 Apes producers complete rnb album was a hit. The guest list looked more like a list of who’s who in Chicago.

More Pink is definitely deserving of such a celebration. The ten track project made its debut as the listening party came to a close, just in time to be the perfect soundtrack for Valentine’s Day.

More Pink is yet another reminder of Slitta’s many talents. The album is performed in large part, produced almost completely, engineered, mixed and mastered by Slitta. The only features come from Ashlee Bankz, L’Oréal, and KD Young Cocky who appears on the single “Vent.”

Slitta’s More Red

img_1136Slitta is not playing fair and the year just started. Yesterday, the D1CMG artist debuted his second album More Red.

Still riding a wave from his highly successful August debut, Pink & Red, Slitta is showing no signs of slowing down. More Red is already on target to surpass its predecessor, only serving as evidence that Slitta is only getting better and better.

More Red is an 11 track effort produced nearly in its entirety by 80Apes. Despite falling short of the 30 minute mark, More Red leaves nothing to be desired. Slitta reiterates that street life is multifaceted and gives fans a looks at some of those faces.

Slitta’s versatility, talent, and work ethic are on full display for More Red. Slitta is the only artist to appear on the album. Slitta produced nearly half of the track and mixed and mastered the album himself.

The lead single “Just Like That” is indicative of Slitta’s energy. The video for which debuted four days ago. The follow up single “Dirty Game” is a look at the less glamorized portions of street life. The Englewood Trap Angel appears almost vulnerable in the visual. Alone surrounded by papers strewn about an open bottle of cognac and a computer. The simple yet powerful image accentuates Slitta’s lyrics, allowing fans to focus on what matters most: the music.

Slitta Makes Every Effort to Take Care

2019 is already looking good for Slitta. The Chicago based recording artist renewed his contract with D1CMG just before ringing in the new year and ever since the videos have been rolling in. Today, Slitta debuted the visual for “Take Care.”

In the most appropriate way ever “Take Care” closes out Slitta’s 2018 release Pink & Red. A peek at Slitta’s softer side, the song explores the downside of a relationship. The song features samples of Boyz II Men’s “4 Seasons of Loneliness” as well as Jagged Edge’s “Walked Outta Heaven” in a creative combination guaranteed to capture the attention of any true r’n’b fan.

As if the song itself didn’t garner enough attention, LakeShoreHy directed one of the most relatable visuals ever. Slitta put his acting skills on display and undoubtedly deserves applause for it. However the show may have very well been stolen by his co-star, newly signed D1CMG A&R Yo Carlie.
