Music has always played a pivotal role in Hunnid’s life, though it wasn’t until he was 18 that started making music seriously. Eight years, several mixtapes, three nominations and two music awards later the self proclaimed “Southside rider, Northside resider” has established himself as a fixture in Chicago music.
Hunnid has been featured on compilation mixtapes including DJ Chase Dollarz’s Trunk Music, interviewed by Underground Joyride and Marquix Global Network and gained international notoriety for the hit single “Let it Blow”.
In anticipation for the release of Mind on My Mentals 5, Hunnid has released several songs, including a cover of Nicki Minaj and Lil Herb’s “Chiraq”. He’s established hashtags such as #5OTW and #MOMM5 to remind his fans that new music is certainly on the way. Hunnid recently tweeted “2 more free mixtapes, then you gonna have to buy an album, WE WORKING #5OTW #MOMM5”.
Ironically referring to himself as “the small voice among giants”, the former college athlete is everything but small. From his stature to his stage presence everything about this artist fills a room. Keep up with Hunnid on social media: @Hunnid_CCG and check out some his music below:
